Being picked up at your hotel dock on Lake Como

If your hotel has its own pier, the boat can collect you straight from it. When that pier is on the free pick-up list, it adds nothing to the price. Two hotel piers are on the list today: the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni.

What happens at the pier

Pick-up and drop-off sit inside the price, with the skipper, the fuel, the taxes and usually water. The skipper arrives a little early, and the company name is written on the hull. If there is any doubt about the pier, it is settled on WhatsApp with a photo and a phone call.

Why the list matters

Off the free list, the boat has to come to you first. That can mean an hour of navigation before your hours begin, and it costs much more. A hotel pier works like a town dock: on the list it is free, off it you pay for the time. What a day on Lake Como costs sets out the rest.
