Route planner

Most itineraries for this lake are drawn on a map. The lake does not work like a map: the same crossing takes different time at different hours, and by mid-afternoon the wind decides where you can comfortably stop.

Plan the day around the water, not the map

Crossing times here are not distances — they change with the hour and the wind. This uses times measured from the boat, not estimated from a map.

Not measured yet. Crossing times here have not been recorded from the boat. Rather than estimate them, this tool says so.

Crossing times are still being measured on the water. This tool will not guess them.

Why the times here are different

Route sites compute distances. These are crossings timed from a boat that makes them every week, in the hours people actually travel. Where a crossing has not been timed yet, the planner says so instead of estimating it.
